description |
|
Before his tragic death at age 25, Scott LaFaro was able to develop a signature style of playing the double-bass that has strongly influenced multiple generations of bass players. He recorded the critically acclaimed Sunday at the Village Vanguard with Bill Evans and Paul Motian just 10 days prior to his death in an automobile accident. It was with this eminent trio that LaFaro was able to develop the counter-melodic bass lines and innovative technique that would become his legacy. |
