Extremely versatile player who has been highly sought as both a lead trumpeter and soloist owing to his extraordinary range. Student of Dizzy Gillespie, Faddis has a wealth of experience in big bands and as a session player. He is currently the artistic director of the Chicago Jazz Ensemble (based at Columbia College in Chicago) and a member of the faculty of The Conservatory of Music at Purchase State University in New York. |
